Open wagon
Historical note: the running number B420709 is the one that the wagon was given by British Railways, and previously carried throughout its life. When it was repainted into the livery of the Middleton Estates and Colliery Company this running number would not have been appropriate, and so it was given the fictitious running number 1758.
