In our shop we have for sale a variety of railway books, including some that deal specifically with aspects of the Middleton Railway.  The main ones of these are as follows.

A History of The Middleton Railway

This is the eighth and most recent edition of the history of the Middleton Railway, which was written by our honorary archivist, Sheila Bye, and published in 2004.  It has 68 pages and over 30 illustrations, and provides a definitive account of the development of the Middleton Colliery from before the railway was built, and the development of the railway itself.

Its ISBN is 0-9516205-5-X.  It is available from our shop for £2.00.  It is also available by mail order:  see below for details of this.

We also have a stock of second-hand railway books that have been donated to us to sell, but again it is not practical to list them here.  If you wish to call in to see what is in stock - or perhaps even to donate some that you no longer wish to keep - our shop staff will be pleased to help.
