Coronavirus (COVID-19), 20th March 2020

Following the latest government recommendations we have taken the decision to defer opening the Middleton Railway until further notice. We regret to have to do this in our Diamond Jubilee year, but our first priority is the health and wellbeing of all our visitors and volunteers. We hope you understand why we have taken this unprecedented step.

There will be volunteers on site from time to time to maintain the railway’s infrastructure and attend to mail and phone messages. We look forward to welcoming you to the railway again soon – please check this website for information about our plans to reopen the railway.

Until then, we hope that you and those close to you keep healthy and safe.

Tour de Yorkshire. On Sunday 5th May the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race finishes in Leeds, which will make it difficult to get to the railway from the North of Leeds. Click here for recommended routes.
